The enthusiasm and passion with which Ivan Padelli founded Gimoka comes from a family tradition and thanks to this it is one of the largest roasteries in the world today. In the town of Lecco (around Lake Como), his father founded and ran a small café for several years, which is now a unique opportunity for visitors and tourists to smell a variety of freshly roasted coffee blends. In the background, they can also admire the view of one of the most famous lakes, which is also part of the literary work "Fiancée" by A. Manzoni.

At the age of 22, Ivan Padelli felt the desire to continue and expand the family business, so in 1982 he founded GIMOKA, based in Lecco. Due to the growth of the workforce and commercial success, the company moved from Lecco to the site of its original owner, Andalo Valtellino, where it evolved to become a larger company.
